Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group company and country's second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer today said its sales for the month dropped 52.21 per cent to 5,112 units as compared to 10,696 units sold in the corresponding period last year.

The company's annual sale for the period ended March 2009 also declined to 54,444 units as compared to 83,307 units in the same period last year, it said in a statement.
