Automobile major Toyota Kirloskar Motors, (TKM) sticking to its promise, will come out with small cars next year, Company Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said today. ''We have invested Rs 3,200 crore in this segment and will come out with small cars in 2010 as promised earlier. ''We are aiming to produce small and compact cars that would suit Indian conditions in order to capture 50 per cent market share,'' Mr Singh told newsmen after launch of the New Camry here. Replying to a question, he said the market, which was sluggish due to global recession and people not willing to invest, has now improved. Last month, 4,500 units were sold and it may touch 5,000 this month with people coming forward to purchase. |
