| TVS Motor sells 195,271 units, posts 48% growth
in Oct'10

| Auto major TVS Motor Company has registered 48 per cent growth in sales during the month of October 2010 with total sales being 195,271 units against 131,941 units during the corresponding month last year. Cumulative total sales for the period April to October 2010 was 1,184,065 units, according to a release here today. During the month, the two wheeler sales of the company grew by 46 per cent with sales of 191,822 units against 131,029 units registered in October 2009. Cumulative two wheeler sales for the period April to October 2010 increased by 34 per cent with sales of 1,162,861 units over 868,509 units in April to October 2009. Domestic sales grew by 45 per cent with sales of 118,563 units in October 2009 to 173,771 units in October 2010. Exports registered 45 per growth with sales being 12,466 units in October 2009 to 18,051 units in October 2010. In the three wheeler segment, the company had sold 3,449 units of three wheelers in October 2010 against 912 units in the comparable period of the previous year. Cumulative sales for the period April'10 to October'10 stood at 21,204 units, a growth of 232 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year. |
