German luxury car maker Audi today said its sales in October went up by 208 per cent at 357 units as compared to 116 units sold in the same month last year.

The company has recorded a growth of 75 per cent during the period January-October 2010, with a sale of 2,535 units as against 1,449 units sold in the corresponding period last year, the company said in a statement.

''This record performance reflects the appeal that our brand enjoys with discerning Indian customers as well as our business partners and confirms that we are on a sustainable and profitable growth path,'' Audi India Head Michael Perschke said. The Audi model range in India includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8.
