German luxury carmaker Audi today said its sales in September has increased by 47.31 per cent to 302 units, and revised its sales target for this year from 2,700 to 3,000 vehicles.

The automaker had sold 205 cars in September 2009.

The company will also launch its much-awaited model A8 LWB, by the end of this year, it said in a statement.

''We are well poised to achieve annual sales of 3,000 cars this year, which exceeds our revised annual target of 2,700 cars. Our focus on network expansion and the introduction of new and energetic products over the next few months is in line with our growth strategy for India,'' Audi India Head Michael Perschke said in a statement.

Audi has sold 2,178 cars during January-September this year, recording a growth of 63.39 per cent. It had sold 1,333 cars during January-September 2009
