Strengthening its position in the range of luxury
sports utility vehicles (SUV), German luxury car-maker Audi today
announced the launch of Audi Q5 2.0 TDI quattro, at a price of Rs
35,13,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra). The SUV, equipped with the 7-speed S
tronic transmission, ensuring efficiency and smooth drivability, will be
available in showrooms from October, the company said in a statement. The
Audi Q5 2.0 TDI is perfectly equipped to further strengthen our leadership
position in the luxury SUV segment, Audi India Head Michael Perschke said.
The SUV is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, xenon-plus headlights,
including LED daytime running lights, leather and leatherette interiors
with wood inlays, and a multifunctional 4-spoke leather steering wheel.
The vehicle is powered by with 125kW, 170 hp engine which has a maximum
torque of 350 Nm at the rate of 1,750 rpm coupled with a seven-speed
automatic transmission. The SUV has an average fuel efficiency of 12.80 km
per litre and will be imported as completely knocked down (CKD) unit in
the country. The company offers a range of vehicles in India including
Audi A4, New Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi
RS5, the super sports cars Audi R8 and Audi R8 Spyder.
