| Mercedes-Benz India sales for Jan'11 up 58.80

| Riding on the back of its highest-ever monthly sales, Luxury car-maker Mercedes-Benz India today reported a jump of 58.80 per cent in its sales at 640 units in January, 2011 as compared to 403 units in the corresponding month last year. ''2010 was an exciting year for us. While the market grew at 60 per cent, we at Mercedes-Benz India managed a growth of 80 per cent. This clearly shows that our exciting products, strong brand traction and ownership experience continue to be highly appreciated by our customers,''Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Peter T Honegg said in a statement. The Germany-based car-maker saw sales of its C-Class sedans jump to 265 units, while E-Class models found 252 buyers in India. The sales of premium S-Class sedans stood at 46 in January, 2011, it said. The entire range of sports utility vehicles -M, GL and R class cars witnessed sales 67 units. |
