| BMW confident of maintaining leadership in
luxury car segment

| BMW India today said the company was confident of maintaining its number one position in the Indian luxury car segment riding on the strong products, services and the strong customer affinity towards the brand. ''BMW India has embarked on the second wave of its market offensive and we are confident of maintaining our Number One position in the luxury car segment with very strong products, services and strong custmer affinity towards the BMW brand,'' said company President Andreas Schaaf. During the month of January, BMW delivered 500 cars to the customers, it said in a statement. ''BMW India continues its success story in 2011 by achieving leadership position in Indian luxury car segment for the month of January,'' Mr Schaaf said. The company during the month sold 164 units of 3 Series, 271 units of 5 Series, 1 unit of 6 Series and 17 units of 7 Series. Sales of X1 stood at 15 units, X3 2 units, X5 9 units X6 9 units, Z4 5 units and that of Gran Turismo stood at 7 units. |
