Premium car maker Mercedes Benz today launched two new models--SL350 and GL500--in the domestic market priced at Rs 98.50 lakh and Rs 80.90 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi). Launching the cars in the capital, Mercedes Benz India Managing Director and CEO Peter Honegg said, "The SL350 and the GL500 are two of the most popular offerings in our portfolio. Both the cars have unique USPs... I am confident that both the vehicles will woo auto enthusiasts." The SL350 is the quintessential Mercedes roadster featuring a 3498 cc V6 engine developing 315 bhp and 360 Nm torque. It also features a roof which folds down electrically. On the other hand, the GL500 is positioned as a go anywhere SUV with a massive 5.4-litre engine offering 388 bhp mated to the 7-speed automatic transmission.
