Skoda Auto India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Czech car-maker Skoda, today announced the launch of its SUV Yeti 4x2 in the domestic market, at a price ranging between Rs 13.46 lakh and 14.32 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). All new Skoda Yeti 4x2 will be available in two variants-- Skoda Yeti 4x2 Active and Skoda Yeti 4x2 Ambition. The company in a statement said here the Yeti over the last year has been well received by experts (securing eight automotive awards) and customers alike. The Yeti Active 2.0 TDI CR 4X2 was priced at Rs 13.46 lakh while the Yeti Ambition 2.0 TDI CR 4X2 hs been priced at Rs 14.32 lakh, it said. Skoda Yeti 4x2 will give a mileage of 17.72 kmpl, which is the best in segment, it added. The power unit remains the 2.0-litre diesel but with a lower power figure of 110 bhp as opposed to the 140 bhp on the 4x4 Yeti. Also, the gearbox is now a 5-speed one instead of the 6-speed manual box in the 4x4 variant. The SUV will be available in five colours--Aqua mist, brilliant silver, candy white, cappuccino beige, magic black, mato brown. The Yeti is now a front-wheel drive car. Equipment list includes ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Hold Control and the Vario Flex seating system. Weight of the Yet 4X2 has come down by 98 kgs and the fuel capacity is also down to 55 litres, instead of the 60 litre tank on the 4x4 variants.
