German premium carmaker Audi today launched the new A6 2.0 TDI in India, priced at Rs 37.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car, available at the company s dealerships, gives a mileage of 18.9 km per litre. Speaking on the occasion, Audi India Head Michael Perschke said, With the reversion of the weight spiral, we were able to make the new A6 lighter than its predecessor thanks to the use of hybrid materials and using our years of experience with aluminum. With the arrival of this important model and the 2.0 TDi engine in India, Mr Perschke said, We are confident that we might even increase our forecast for this year based on a strong response to the new A6 . The sedan is 4.92 meters long and 1.87 meters wide, but just 1.46 meters high, the automajor said in a statement. The 2.0 TDI In-line 4 cylinder generates 130 kW (177 hp) with a displacement of 1,968 cc. The Audi model range in India includes A4, A6, A7 Sportback, A8 L, Q5, Q7, RS 5 Coupe, the super sports car R8 and the R8 Spyder available across the country.
