Rolls Royce Wraith launching on
August 19
|
British luxury carmaker Rolls Royce will launch its most powerful offering yet - the Wraith, in India on August 19, 2013. First shown at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March this year, the Wraith coupe is based on the ultra luxurious four-door Ghost. Under the hood, the Wraith gets a 6.6-litre TwinTurbo V12 engine, which is capable of developing a power output of 624bhp at 800Nm of peak torque. The vehicle accelerates to 100kmph from stand still in mere 4.6 seconds. Besides the engine upgrades, the Wraith also features a shortened wheelbase, tweaked suspension setup and improved brakes to take care of all the extra power. While the tweaked suspension will result in improved agility on the road, expect the Wraith to be as supremely comfortable to ride in as the Ghost. The Wraith is offered starting at about 2,35,000 GBP (Rs 2.21 crore) in the UK which means with the current exchange rate and custom duties, the price will be hovering around the Rs 4.5 crore mark. |
