GM India launches new facelifted
2013 Chevrolet Captiva

General Motors India has quietly launched the Chevrolet Captiva facelift. The same version was unveiled in Korea earlier this year. In general, the Chevrolet Captiva has been given some minor changes that should help the SUV remain fresh for another few years. The new Chevrolet Captiva now gets a stylish front bumper with changes found in the grille and fog lamp design. Although the front fascia is not much populated with cosmetic alters, the changes in the rear section are instantly sensed with new LED tail lights and a new bumper comprising exhausts on either sides. 18” alloy wheels further ensures the facelifted Captiva looks refreshed. Internally, the facelift Captiva gets a revised instrument cluster, new upholstery and addition of leather upholstery option for the high end variants. Some new features include a dual zone climate control, heated rear seats and ambient lighting package. The car also gets keyless entry and start feature for the flagship variants. Powering the new Chevrolet Captiva is a 2.2L diesel engine that could go on sale with a choice of all new 6-speed manual, the engine capable of putting out 186.5PS @ 3800rpm and maximum torque returned at 2000rpm accounted for 424Nm. An all wheel drive can also be opted however only with an auto gearbox in place. |
