Force Motors launches two new models of One SUV

Force Motors launched 2 new variants of its SUV Force One. The variants are called the EX(executive) and SX(Superior). Prior to the launch Force had updated their official website with the prices and the feature lists for the new models.

The EX is a base model Force One SUV. It comes with a Mercedes derived BSIII OM616 2.6-litre turbo diesel Engine that produces 82Ps @ 3200rpm and 230Nm of torque at 2000rpm. The gearbox is derived from Mercedes-Benz too. The EX is priced at Rs.8.99 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai.

The SX variant is an upgraded version of the current Force One SUV with added bells and whistles. The SX comes with a common rail FMTech 2.2 liter Diesel engine that is made under the license of Daimler AG, Germany.

All models will come with a choice of six colours; white, black, red, grey, blue and silver. Force Motors also plan to launch a top of the line 4WD LX variant of the One by the beginning of next year which has the capability of switching between the drive systems on the fly.

The introduction of the base model is an effort to tap into the rural SUV market while the addition of much needed features like ABS and EBD to the current One SUV may help to improve its urban market reach. It is the 4X4 variant that we are looking forward to, as it will be a direct rival for the Mahindra XUV500 W8 AWD variant. The XUV500 is priced at Rs 14.78 lakh and if the LX variant of the Force One is priced competitively, it can give Mahindra a run for its money.
