Maruti has added a new top-end trim to the Alto 800, named VXi for Rs 3.13 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new VXI trim comes with additional equipment such as central locking, door side mouldings, full wheel covers, an integrated stereo with USB and four speakers, a left wing mirror and standard driver's side airbag and a rear spoiler.
The Alto 800 VXi gets four power windows and central locking as the additional features over the LXi variant. It is powered by a 796cc petrol mill that produces 48PS, 69Nm of torque and is the standard engine across the range.

The Alto 800 was launched amidst much fanfare in October last year and has been a big seller for the Indo-Japanese automaker, racking up over 40, 000 bookings in less than three months after the launch.

The Alto 800 LXI is priced at Rs 3.21 lakh, while the new VXI trim costs Rs 3.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
