Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. today announced the launch of the New Etios
and Etios Liva. The new vehicles were launched amid much fanfare at the
final match of the month long cricket tournament – *Toyota University
Cricket Championship (TUCC). The Etios was launched in December 2010 followed
by Etios Liva in June 2011. Since then, it has sold more than 1, 45,000
units. The Etios and Etios Liva, have been well accepted and appreciated
by the customers and has been a great success in the Indian market. The
New Etios and Etios Liva have been designed to give it a bold and trendy
appearance. New grades have been introduced to spruce up the entire line
up and make it more youthful and trendy.

New Grades Introduced
Etios Liva TRD Sportivo - Looking at the overwhelming demand and popularity
of the Etios Liva TRD Sportivo (1.2L) Limited Edition, it has now been
introduced as a regular grade with a new 1.5 l engine.
The vehicle is aimed at offering an exclusive product to today’s youth
and is also meant to create more product excitement for the already popular
Etios Liva. The Limited edition has been designed by Toyota Racing Development
(TRD), Japan. The vehicle is set to make a statement with its racing –
inspired design. Liva TRD Sportivo derives its name from its trendy look,
designed by TRD, which lends it a young and sporty edge. Key features
of the Etios Liva TRD Sportivo are – 1.5 l, 90 PS engine, ABS, D+P Airbag,15”
Smoked alloys, TRDAero Kit ,TRD Sprotivo logo on seats and Roof ornament.
New Etios and Etios Liva - The grades in petrol and diesel are being enhanced
to give the customers a wider choice. The diesel line up will now have
the newly introduced J grade at the entry level. Commenting on the new
launch, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating
Officer, Marketing and Commercial said “As a part of our product lifecycle

In its endeavor to reach out to maximum customers after the launch of
the Etios and Etios Liva, the company has expanded its dealer network
from 97 dealerships in 2009 to 220 outlets currently. TKM is looking at
improving its reach and is setting up new outlets in semi urban and rural
areas. The company further plans to expand it to 235 dealerships by the
end of March this year. As a part of the ‘Value Added Services’ provided
to the customers, TKM is also expanding ‘Toyota U Trust’ operations. Toyota
U Trust aims to offer potential customers an opportunity to exchange their
‘Cars of any make’ for a brand new Toyota, allowing them an opportunity
to upgrade. TKM currently has 42 outlets. Based on the enthusiastic response,
received from its customers and also the dealers, Toyota is now looking
at a phased expansion to 65 dealers by the end of 2013. This is to ensure
that, TKM U Trust Operations covers approximately 85% of the market.
