The cars have already started their journeys to showrooms around India. It is also confirmed that the automatic transmission is being offered with the petrol engine. At this price, the Grand is cheaper than the Brio A/T (sold in top end version, Rs 6.15 lac ex-showroom) and the Nissan Micra Automatic as well (Rs 6.49 lac).

The Grand petrol Automatic comes with the same 1.2-litre engine seen on the i10 and i20. However, in the Grand, the motor develops more power than the i10 (now discontinued in the i10 as it is only sold with 1.1 engine) and feels a touch smoother too. More details on the Grand automatic will flow in soon.

The new Grand i10 automatic is available in two trim levels - Sportz and Asta. While the Sportz variant comes equipped with several features including power windows, electric ORVM, power steering, integrated 2-DIN music system, reverse parking sensors, push-start button, door handles with chrome inserts, tilt steering and others.

The Asta trim offers some additional features such as spoiler, rear defogger, Bluetooth, alloy wheels and few others. The petrol model is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder Kappa engine that churns out a maximum power output of 82bhp and 115Nm of top torque.

While the Sportz version of the automatic i10 is priced at Rs. 5.95 lakh, Grand i10 Asta automatic is tagged at Rs. 6.23 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai. It is also speculated that the company might also launch the Grand i10 diesel automatic version in the Indian car market.
