Nissan Micra diesel hatchback launched at Rs 5.57 lakh

After the launch of its all new Micra and Micra Active range few months back, Nissan India has launched a new entry-level diesel variant of the former. The new Micra XE diesel is priced at Rs 5.57 lakh. The introduction of the XE grade takes the total variant count of the Micra range to 12 in India. The company has also updated the same on its official website and the features the new XE diesel carries. Like other variants, Micra XE too has been made available in a range of six colours: Olive Green (new), Turquoise Blue (new), Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black and Brick Red.

The new Micra XE diesel gets the same facelift treatment as the rest of its clan (new Micra). This means a chrome plated V-shaped radiator grille, new headlamps, wider air intake and redesigned LED tail lamps. Being the base variant, there are no alloy wheels on offer. Inside, the XE diesel offers manual AC, power steering, follow-me-home headlamps and a driver airbag.

Powering the Micra XE diesel is the tried and tested 65PS 1.5-litre K9K engine which promises a fuel efficiency of 23.08kmpl (ARAI figure).

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kenichiro Yomura, President of Nissan India Operations & MD & CEO, Nissan Motor India said, “The launch of new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers. I am confident that the New Micra diesel variant is a good value proposition and a desirable option for the Indian customers.

The automaker has also partnered with major banking institutions to provide easy financing and loans disbursement schemes through dealerships for retail customers.
