Audi India has launched a more powerful variant of the A4 2.0-litre TDI variant for Rs 31.74 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The current A4 2.0-litre TDI will also continue to be sold alongside the more powerful variant.

The powerful new 177 hp Audi A4 with the Audi drive select offers 27 per cent more power and offers 3 per cent more fuel efficiency than its predecessor. The engine has been mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. It does o-100kmph in just 7.9 seconds and has a ARAI fuel efficiency of 17.11kmpl. The more powerful A4 is also being offered with the Audi Drive Select system that allows the driver to influence engine, transmission and steering while enabling the characteristics of the Audi A4 to be adapted in line with the driver’s personal preferences and current route.

Audi is the only brand out of the three German luxury giants in India to not have entered to fast growing compact luxury segment of the Indian auto market. Yet the company reported a 20.52 per cent rise in sales last month at 875 units. The company plans to further expand its dealership network from 27 to 35 by the end of this calendar year.
