Mahindra Scorpio Special Edition launched

Indian automobile giant Mahindra has launched a special edition of the popular SUV, the Scorpio.

As part of the special equipment, the Scorpio gets features like dual tone leather seats, leather covered steering wheel and shift knob, an integrated roof-mounted DVD player with a drop-down 9-inch screen., and high-gloss wood trim on the dashboard and centre console.

Mahindra launched the special edition, which looks very similar to the special edition rolled out by the company back in 2010. This time only 500 units of the Special Edition will be sold across the nation.

Though the changes are limited, Scorpio Special Edition certainly looks refreshed with several new features including European leather interiors in beige and tan shades, leather-wrapped gear knob and gear shift, Integrated roof-mounted DVD player with 9" screen, Leather wrapped steering wheel, Alloy wheels with signature chrome finish, Dual front SRS airbags and a high-gloss wood finished central bezel.

However, Mahindra has not yet revealed the prices of the Scorpio Special Edition but is expected to be around Rs. 20,000 to 30,000 more than the current top end variant.
