The 2 litre, 4 cylinder engine develops a power of 120PS and 170nm of torque which helps you to brush past other vehicles. With advanced features like variable induction system, DOHC, drive by wire technology, chain drive timing system, this engine will perform smoothly. 

The Grand Vitara is available in 4 speed auto transmission option with auto downshift which saves the driver from the botheration of frequent gear changes. It is also available in a 5 speed manual transmission option with a short gear throw and smooth gear change. The Grand Vitara has independent MCpherson strut design suspension with gas dampers and anti roll bar in front and independent multi link rigid with coil springs in the rear. The assimilation of a ladder frame into the unibody Monocoque structure also gives an extra measure power. All these keeps the car balanced as you take on rough roads. 

A higher ground clearance of 200mm gives Grand Vitara the efficiency to take on the unleveled roads without damaging the chassis and under body.
