Q5, the car model that falls under the sportiest and most elegant Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) class is unveiled by the German luxury carmaker Audi. Audi Q5 is available in India with an option of two engines: 2.0 TFSI Quattro and Q5 - 3.0 TDI Quattro. Both engines are direct injection units with turbo charging, muscular pulling power and impressive fuel efficiency.
Q5 has been voted the Best Off-Roader in Europe by auto motor und sport and awarded the Golden Steering Wheel in Germany. The new sporty SUV from the Q range is a blend of efficient engineering, luxurious interiors, vibrant and innovative features and progressive design. It sports the Audi’s legendary Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, which gives a finer technology package for both on and off road driving. The Quattro technology used in front and the rear axles gives a well balanced handling mainly on slippery road surfaces. This technology guarantees more driving pleasure, better acceleration, greater lateral stability, improved traction and higher safety.
Equipped with several incredible features, Q5 is 5.41 feet tall, 15.19 feet long and 6.17 feet wide, giving it the sportiest proportions in the segment. Keeping in mind the current infrastructure of India, the model has been designed and manufactured, as it is somewhat different from the global version. The petrol variant is powered by 211 bhp 2.0-litre TFSI engine, which targets the speed up to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and the diesel variant is powered by 240 bhp 3.0-litre TDI engine and which can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 225 km/h.
The design of the Audi Q5 is impressive from all angles with its large single-frame grille- the typical Audi face, clear lines and the smooth surfaces. The headlamps have xenon plus bulbs and LED running lights as standard, and the rear lights also feature LED technology. Other standard and optional features are Audi driver information system, Multi Media Interface (MMI), Bang & Olufsen surround sound, DVD Player, rear seat entertainment, 3-zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control, an acoustic parking system with rearview camera.
With a seating capacity of five, the Q5 is a versatile and sporty vehicle with a large cargo space. It is available in six exciting colours: Stratos Blue, Garnet Red, Ice Silver, Meteor Grey, Phantom Black and Ibis White.
