Swedish automobile company Volvo cars launched its fastest car Volvo S60 Polestar priced at Rs. 52.5 lakh. Polestar is the quickest car from Volvo's stable, making 0 -100 km/hour sprint in just 4.7 seconds and having a top speed of 250 km/hour. According to the company, Polestar has taken an original S60 and added a bigger turbo, a supercharger, new conrods, new camshafts, a larger air intake and a higher capacity fuel pump to augment the engine, matched it with a Borgwarner four wheel drive system and the new polestar optimised eight speed geartronic automatic gearbox.
The Polestar has reduced the car's weight by 24 kg lighter over the front axle and 20kg lighter in total compared to the previous model years. It competes with the likes of the Mercedes AMG C 43 and the Audi S5.
