The new Skoda Yeti is characterized by the symbiosis of a unique design, safety, functionality and comfort. The Yeti is the first Skoda car which offers an off-road mode for the 4x4 version. It is an intelligent system that adapts the characteristics of the engine and brake assistant systems to driving on an unhardened surface and makes driving on a slope easier. It represents a number of functions such as the hill descent control, the adaptation of the ABS, ASR and EDS electronic systems to the driving conditions and a more sensitive accelerator configuration.
With a 2 litre TDI CR (Common Rail) engine and a 6-speed manual transmission featuring an advance real-time four-wheel drive system, the Yeti is simply irresistible. A host of electronic stability systems such as ABS, EBD, HBA, ASR, TCS, EDL, ESP - involuntarily engage themselves when the need arises to ensure stability.
The concept of three independent rear seats VarioFlex provides a wide range of options for arranging the internal and luggage space. You can therefore take advantage of a volume from 146 to 1,760 litres. For the first time, a Skoda’s luggage space has the option of three solutions for the floor and the fixing system with horizontal bars and movable hooks. Four-wheel drive for the Yeti is provided by an ingenious system using a 4th generation Haldex clutch that enables the car to run economically while maintaining excellent traction. The altered rear multi-link axle with wider wheel track gives the car greater stability when driving on rough terrain and also lends it excellent handling properties on the
road.
The front part of the car, which is dominated by the markedly shaped radiator grill surrounded by four headlights, is a synonym for fun and pleasure from driving, whereas the rear of the five-door hatchback body evokes practicality.
To achieve the best driving properties, the Yeti can be fitted with new 17 Dolomite wheels. They are made from light alloy and their design brilliantly underlines the character of the exterior. The range of 17” discs is supplemented by stylishly named Annapurna and Spitzberg wheels. New 16” Moon or the well-known Spectrum wheels also suit the
exterior.
Safety is uncompromised in Skoda cars and Yeti is no exception. The Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) allows better handling on slippery roads. To give an effortless driving experience, the car is packed with advanced safety features, including Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Differential Lock (EDL). For taking curves with small radius, all you need to do is switch on the fog lights that come with corner function. Since rough and tumble calls for extra protection of the passengers, Skoda Yeti is equipped with six airbags that give complete protection to all the passengers in the car and protect them from impact during collisions.
